Event Details
We invite you to come learn about and explore the 150-year history of the Sewickley Public Library. The library has grown from 21 exclusive members in 1873 to over 14,000 card holds in 2023. So much has happened along the way from the library’s founding in 1873, the dedication of the library building in 1923, and the expansion of the building in 1999.
The program will include a recognition of the newly completed 2023 renovations, the debut of a short documentary about the history of the library, an exploration of significant and interesting moments through 150 years, a panel discussion with current and former staff and board members, a Q&A session, and chance for you to share your stories about the library!
The program will be held in the historic reference area of the library.
Cake and refreshments will be served. Registration is requested
