Program Description

Event Details

Join Meghan Snatchko, creator of GetLostPGH for a spine-tingling walking tour through Sewickley's shadowy past! As darkness falls, we'll explore the borough's most notorious historical locations and uncover the true crime stories that shaped this historic bedroom community.

This fascinating tour reveals Sewickley's hidden history through tales of murder, mystery, and mayhem. Our route includes stops at former speakeasies from the Prohibition era, locations of shocking crimes, sites of family tragedies, and other intriguing historical spots where this ordinary neighborhood became the backdrop for extraordinary events.

The tour covers approximately 2.6 miles starting from the Sewickley Public Library, exploring winding streets mapped out by Daniel Leet himself. Each stop brings to life history, newspaper accounts, police reports, and court records that tell these remarkable stories.

Before the tour: "Sewickley Secrets" books will be available for purchase.

Come prepared for an evening walk and bring a flashlight! This tour offers a unique perspective on Sewickley's past that you won't find in traditional history books. Perfect for history buffs, true crime enthusiasts, and anyone curious about the stories lurking in their own backyard.
