Join us for a special author talk with Will Bardenwerper, discussing his book Homestand: Small Town Baseball and the Fight for the Soul of America Author Talk. As the baseball season gets underway, Bardenwerper will explore the heart of America’s pastime through the story of one minor league team and the community that rallies around it. Discover the characters, traditions, and small-town spirit that make baseball more than just a game.
An audience Q&A will follow the presentation.
Will Bardenwerper has contributed to The New York Times, The Washington Post, Harper’s and other outlets and is the author of The Prisoner in His Palace: Saddam Hussein, His American Guards, and What History Leaves Unsaid. He served as an Airborne Ranger–qualified infantry officer in Iraq and was awarded a Combat Infantryman Badge and Bronze Star.
