Program Description

Children’s book author Lisa Donovan will read the fun and whimsical Birds in My Backyard and talk about what is just outside our windows. Children will learn about birding by ear and play a guess-the-birdsong game. Lisa will show some original artwork from her book, talk about collage as an art form, and lead a bird collage craft in which all are invited to invent their own birds. Weather permitting, children may gather collage items outside and practice birding by ear. All materials will be provided. Participants will receive coloring pages and bookmarks. 

Grades K-2, please register.

This program is designed for children and accompanying adults. Please plan to attend and be engaged with your child for this program. Drop offs will not be permitted.
